Baseball Organization
The Tucson Outlaws is a non-profit organization dedicated in providing young men a second chance at playing College baseball at Junior College, Division I or II schools, Independent professional league team or maybe even a major league team. Our goal is to provide an avenue for high school players who did not receive any baseball scholarship offers after graduating and also JC players who did not receive any offers from larger four year schools to continue playing competitively with the hope of being noticed by college scouts and professional scouts who attend our games. We want these scouts to offer our players another chance at continuing their baseball careers. Our intentions are to get our players as much exposure as we can during league play and by qualifying for the National Baseball Congress World Series Tournament in Wichita, Kansas.
Our staff consists of all volunteers dedicated to providing our players a chance to continue horning their baseball skills and to mature as a person while playing in a very competitive league. We stress the importance excelling in the classroom and continuing their education even if baseball can’t provide them the means to continue school. We teach them to respect themselves and others, how to be responsible for their actions and how to represent their team and community in a positive way. The Tucson Outlaws are a member of the Pacific Southwest Baseball League. A semi-pro league made up of mostly junior college players. The Pacific Southwest Baseball League is affiliated with the National Baseball congress that is an organization that promotes amateur baseball across the nation. Currently, approximately 70% of the players on National Baseball Congress teams are college players with remaining eligibility. Approximately 15% are ex-professionals. Approximately 15% are high school or college graduates who are not currently on a school or university team. Our staff consists of the following personnel.
